Intersport Rent – Affinity Sports is now renting a perfect setup to take you out of bounds and on your own adventure. This kit is only available for rent at our Clock Tower location (Affinity 5).

Backcountry Skis and Skins
We have purchased backcountry skis by K2 with pre-cut skins and mounted them with Marker Touring bindings. We selected the Coomback ski for the boys and the Gotback skis for the girls; both of these come with tip and tail holes and a skin clip arc to make attaching the skins super easy.

The Coomback ski is equally versatile, balancing the lightweight attributes of a Back model with the confidence and performance characterized by many side models. This is the ski you’ll see a myriad of bindings on: alpine, tele, super light touring and more descent focused touring. For 11/12 the addition of a carbon web creates an added level of responsiveness without increasing weight. The Coomback is available in three sizes, 167cm, 174cm and 181cm.

The GotBack packs 102 mm under her belt and is proud of every millimetre. Though no longer the biggest gal in the neighborhood, the GotBack is clearly the most versatile. Lighter and more playful, she’s just as happy going for long walks in the backcountry as she is painting smooth arcs in an open bowl or dancing through tight trees at the resort. The Gotback is available in three sizes, 146cm, 153cm and 160cm.

Touring Bindings
We have mounted all our backcoutry skis with Marker Tour F10 or F12 bindings. This AT binding is for the skier who wants an all-day touring rig, but still wants great skiing performance. The Tour F12 focus is on light-weight, all-day touring functionality combined with the downhill skiing performance.

Guiding
Please make sure you have the necessary training and skills before heading out of bounds. Our staff are not experts and will offer no training with the safety equipment we rent. We would strongly recommend hiring a professional mountain guide such as:
