The new 2012 Salomon BBR is a totally new design in shape and sidecut. This ski has a oversized front and a narrow tail. The 8.9 is full wood core and a sandwich construction and the 7.9 is a softer version with a cap construction. This amazing looking ski is designed by Bertrand Krafft, who is also responsible for designing the Salomon x-scream and the famous pocket rocket. Salomon has throw its full weight behind marketing this ski and claims “BBR is a game-changing design”. The narrow tail allows skiers to wash out turns while the over sized front pulls the skier up out of powder snow. Many ski companies are seeking that one ski that does it all.
